Logistics to serve the client

Today, 80% of cereals marketed by Cérévia are sold on a “delivered to factories and ports” basis.

Cérévia provides storage and logistics for its clients, always maintaining a commitment to service quality and responsiveness.

Cérévia relies on the major dispatch silos of the union’s cooperatives when constructing its logistics flow (mainly rail and river freight).

From North Burgundy all along the Saône-Rhône axis, these facilities help to develop an effective and responsive logistics flow.

Multimodal logistics

Rail

Since 2010, a rail logistics partnership has been in place with the operator Europorte. 300 to 350,000 tonnes per campaign are brought by train to Fos-sur-Mer and the other French ports.

River

This is the backbone for Cérévia’s exports to the Mediterranean Basin. Operating on a large scale from Pagny (Côte-d’Or) to Fos-sur-Mer, the corridor covers around 550 km, a distance travelled within a period of 48 to 72 hours by barge.

Inaugurated in 2010, the multimodal facilities (train, river, maritime) at Fos-sur-Mer provide a gateway to the Mediterranean Basin for the cereals from Cérévia’s cooperatives.

The site’s storage capacity was doubled in autumn 2015, optimising the grain preparation work and the loading of large-volume ships.
